Close to Geneva and much, much less expensive than the hotels in Geneva. Plus Ferney-Voltaire is a very pleasant and historic town. This includes Voltaire's chateau, the several pleasant restaurants with outdoor seating and the open air market on Saturday morning.
I didn't try the breakfast, partly because it cost 9 Euros, which is much less than what they charge in Geneva but it is still over US$10 for a buffet breakfast. Perhaps it was worth the price, but since I was also always in a hurry in the morning I didn't take the time to find out.

This hotel was very charming in what I would consider a small traditional French village setting...not a major tourist attraction. The hotel restaurant was excellent. Highly recommend making a reservation and having a dinner there.
No elevator...but not a big deal. Monday nights the town is closed.

Hotel de France is a small hotel in a historic building, located in a charming French village on the outskirts of Geneva and accessible by a short bus ride (20 minutes) to Geneva and especially the major un agencies' offices. It is also very close to the Geneva airport. The hotel has an excellent gourmet restaurant on the premises and the wireless service functions well. The only qualification is that anyone staying there needs to be physically able to climb stairs as there are no elevators to the upper floor rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful (ordering taxis, etc.)

Cozy room, historic site, good value.
When checking in a weekend evening there seems to be no way to use the wifi service as it requires a password and staff is not available. TV channels do not include BBC or any other english channel, although the brochure in the room claims otherwise. Still great value!

The bed was comfortable. Location is convenient if going to Geneva. Cheaper than Geneva.
Room old fashioned. Bathroom shaggy but clean. No elevator. Wifi not working for more than 30 seconds, it depended on number of guests connected but if 2nd floor no possibility to work better, requested to go downstair to use at 2am, no way! but they did not charge me finally for wifi.Breakfast expensive, 9 euros.
